This is an introduction to a sales opportunity. Attending an event does not guarantee employment, a carrier appointment, a license or income.

What carries over—and what you must learn

Discovery, listening, follow-up and objection handling can carry over from other sales roles. Insurance also requires product knowledge, appropriate licensing and attention to what you may say and do. A familiar sales process does not eliminate those responsibilities.

The live session is designed to explain what agents sell, how licensing and carrier relationships fit together, and what the day-to-day business involves. It also covers advantages and drawbacks so you can evaluate the fit.

If you paid for a high-ticket sales course or coaching program and did not receive the placement you expected, you may already have skills to bring to the conversation. That experience is a starting point, not a substitute for understanding this business.

Understand commission-only before committing

Commission-only means there is no base salary in this opportunity. Earnings depend on the applicable compensation arrangement and results. Ask when commissions become payable, whether advances or chargebacks apply, and how cancellations affect compensation.

Also ask who supplies leads, what they cost, whether they are shared, what support is included, and which expenses you would be responsible for. Review the written agreement before making a decision. Exact commission rates, employment classification and lead arrangements should be confirmed directly with the team.

Five answers to get in writing

  1. Your compensation: commission rates, payment timing, advances and any chargeback terms.
  2. Your costs: licensing, leads, software and any other required expenses.
  3. Your working arrangement: employment or contractor status, expectations and exit terms.
  4. Your onboarding: who helps with licensing, product knowledge and the first customer conversations.
  5. Your lead arrangement: where prospects come from, what you pay and whether leads are shared.

Use the interview checklist to keep the conversation specific.

Start with the live session

Bring the questions that matter to you: the product, the customer, the working day, licensing, costs and compensation. The purpose is to decide whether life-insurance sales fits your skills and goals.

The event offer states that your life-insurance license may be paid for if you attend live and decide the opportunity is right for you. Confirm eligibility, covered costs and any conditions with the team; funding is not guaranteed.
